i have had the pleasure to work with the county, cities and non-profit organizations. without ECHO funding most if not all of the projects that i have worked on would not have been possible. one notable project was the Oak Hill VIA Hall. it is the community center for the Oak Hill community and has been so since the early 1900's. it was damaged in the 2004 hurricanes. the city did not have money to save the building but the work of the Oak Hill non-profit organization and private donations enough money was raised to match money from an ECHO grant. now the building is again a major contributor to the Oak Hill community.
