@ Pat- I am not the reporter, simply a reader as well. I was not really asking the question, I was simply trying to raise awareness. Everyone seems to want to praise the mayor for not taking his salary to save the city money but that is not why his refuses his salary. It is very simple, more citizens should ask more questions and have all the answers before coming to conclusions.
