The pretense of this entire article seems ridiculous. And the City of DeBary seems petty as they continue their in-house fighting. It is also amazing the Beacon writers actually do research on an issue like this yet won't do research on Non-profits that continually come back to the taxpayers for more and more money with no accountability. How many jobs has the Gateway created with the millions of taxpayer dollars spent? Why did the County Council vote to allow the Sands Theater/Athens to continue to receive non-profit grant money when they turned themselves into a for-profit? They didn't pay property taxes - where was the Beacon story? They owe several years of back Sales Taxes - where is the Beacon story? These petty articles bringing to light about DeBary "gas reimbursements" are ridiculous.
