Proud Cheer Sister | posted Dec 1, 2012 - 9:02:22am
@Fanny and @Anthony, so it's not ok for children to seek help to raise money for something they spent months earning? But it's ok for veterans and (per the season) Salvation Army to ask for donations...or what about girl scouts? I bet you bought some cookies! These kids (boys and girls, cheer and football) are not on the street selling drugs, they aren't fighting or stealing, and they most definitely aren't failing school. All of which are important aspects for a young child. Pop Warner is consisted of volunteers, parents, and teachers who all collaborate to pay OUT OF POCKET for equipment, field time, gym time, food, uniforms (which included but is not limited to: skirts, shirts, spanks, pants, and long sleeve shirts, bows, shoes, etc.), and many more things. If you have ever donated a day in your life, guess what?! You gave a handout. These girls love to cheer, it gives them something to look forward to. Out teaches them respect, determination, pride, team work, leadership, and many more positive aspects. You my friend are a normal human being with your own thoughts and opinions but, I have just one last thing to say, I bet at some point in your life you asked "Can I borrow $5?", or "can I borrow...anything?", everyone, I don't care who you are, has asked this. Isn't that asking for a handout?

On another note: GO PANTHERS!! D.P...YOU KNOW!

Are you sure this is what you would like to do?
