Anthony, have you read none of the other comments posted?? These girls are not asking for handouts, they are asking for the support of their community to assist them as they knock themselves out at carwashes, bake sales, and rummage sales...and let's not forget that they are doing all of that around cheer practice, school and homework to maintain the high GPA's required to be in cheer, and other extracurricular activities in the community. Funny, I have never heard slander to the police or fire departments for having boot drops for donations. It is called being part of something bigger than yourself, and taking pride in the young people that are going to be taking care of you one day. "It takes a village to raise a child". God forbid we support the next generation in something healthy and productive, huh, Anthony and Fanny? Let's just turn our backs and let them run the streets instead and then you can really have something to complain about. These girls deserve your respect, not your desdain. Shame on you.
