Milo and the citizens of Deltona, Orange City, and Debary,

I won't even humor you by saying your supposed last name Milo. This is a very happy and wonderful time for more than just these 22 kids, their parents, and 9 coaches. These kids are representing their families, this community, and themselves and have done it with integrity and class.

I'm incredibly amazed at Mr. Milo's negative statements; however, after perusing them it's quite evident at the ignorance at which they were derived. I won't waste time in rebutting all your statements as it takes away from the positives.

I will defend Coach Robinson in the fact that this is one of those situations that no one can logically plan for. The chance that this team would make it this far is less than(as said prior) .002%. If pop warner organizations or any organization added this cost to registration, then many of those organizations would never exist. Furthermore, I personally thank Mr. Robinson for having the initiative to ask for outside help. Saying the taxpayers of Deltona would suffer the consequences of helping the only team in this area to ever make it to the national championships is insane. It doesn't take a biochemistry degree to understand what positive effects organized sports has on our youth.

Based on 2011 reports, there are over 115,000 households in Deltona, Orange City, and Debary. We need $16,500 to help fund the cost of sending these 22 kids to Disney. That doesn't come close to covering all the intangible expenses that the families will wind up incurring. I don't find it absurd to ask for 15 cents from every resident in this area to help kids in this area represent us after performing an unimaginable feat. Yes, a modest dime and nickel from every resident is all it would take. If that would hurt the taxpayers in this area, then you are unfortunately correct Milo; however, I think you are 100% wrong.

For the record, I am a parent of one of the kids on this team and I am fortunate that I can pay for my child. Unfortunately, some of these kids aren't so fortunate.

Are you sure this is what you would like to do?
