To Milo. It is obvious by your ignorant statements that you know nothing about the Pop Warner Organization, Team sports OR Coach Cameron Robinson.

Pop Warner offers organized sports for kids across the nation and sponsors children year after year that cannot afford to play. They are a non-profit organization, but someone has to pay for the fields, uniforms, helmets, etc.

Team sports teach children that they are a part of something bigger than themselves. They learn that every position has a responsiblity and if they do their job, the team is successful. They learn how their successes, failures, attitude and ability to maintain focus effect others. They learn sacrifice and how to alter their techniques based on coaching and feedback. This is forever engrained in them. It is for these very same reasons that Colleges create sororities and why the Military has bootcamp. Many of these same attributes are needed to become a productive member of society or a Corporation.

Coach Cameron Robinson is more than a coach to these children. Lack of planning and begging are not words that I would use to reference him. First, Volusia County has NEVER had a team that made it to the Nationals. You don't win the SouthEastern Regional Championship without a plan. Secondly, he has created a second "Wolves" family for these children. Cameron Robinson and his wife have helped two of the children through the loss of a parent, they were at the hospital daily, showing support, they rallied the entire team to attend funerals, created food drives for the families, they check on multiple children's grades and behavior in school as well. They have donated countless hours of community service and paid for team jerseys and shirts out of their own pockets.

As far as the kids appreciating the value of a dollar. We have held car washes, bake sales, yard sales, helmet drops, etc. These kids are doing more than enough to obtain the money on their own. My son is an All-American Scholar. He receives straight A's in school. He often stays up late night to get his homework done after football practice because he KNOWS the meaning of hard work and responsibility.
