With growth and progress comes spending for town halls, parks and culture for our citizens. Please give me some examples of cities without those amenities who are successful with camaraderie. I would have preferred DeBary to remain the sleepy little town I chose to live in but that's not the choice of all the residents. Until I retire and if I chose to move to a sleepy little town I have to accept the growth and progress. There is no stopping progress in DeBary because we would be swallowed by Orange City and there are many residents who want to preserve DeBary's title. Morton, I am sorry you don't understand people's "mentality" and you think you are above anyone who makes typographical and/or spelling errors. Did you have parents who taught you to be insulting to one's mentality and education? I am not meaning to insult you, I am serious, but maybe you could examine your lack of kindness, compassion and tolerance of people less fortunate than you. It's wonderful to have "discussions" but when you revert to name calling and insults it becomes bickering. The Mayor and Council needs our support through compromise and cooperation.
