For years, I demonstrated for peace in DeLand over the years, sometimes with Jimmy, sometimes others would show. At first, we were met with much derision and little support from passers-by, but it gradually changed to much support and little derision.

My daughter, who demonstrated for peace with us quite often, is dating "T.J." a disabled veteran now. I know how strongly she believed in peace, and sees the human costs of war each day. I'm proud of her, proud of T.J.'s service, and proud to have known Jimmy, Beth, and Desirae.
