Seems if he is really sincere in wanting to cut spending, he could/should eliminate Dave Byron's county public relations position right away (along with his staff's positions) and save taxpayers tons of money. These positions never even existed before the late 1980s and are really unnecessary. The Beacon's reporters and other news media professionals already report impartially what the county is doing and don't bill the taxpayer for it. County PR hacks on the other hand, give distorted, slanted takes on what the county does to protect the backsides of those in power and cost a bundle to taxpayers. Eliminate their positions immediately please.
