Animal rescue STINKS.. literally. People who are new to this are sometimes upset at the odor specifically of cat piss from multiple cats. Went to the Volusia County Fair the other night and went into the livestock pavilion - talk about stink.. but that doesn't mean that the animals are abused or neglected it just stinks when you have a bunch of animals in a room. You can clean it all up and 1 hour later it stinks again. I do believe that the population at the center was high but if they were not there most of them would be dead. Its easy to ignore the problem or to expect it to smell good every time there is a visit but really gas masks? I don't like the small either but i understand why it would be like that. That is why some people are saying that it stinks in the building and some are saying it smells ok.. its all about the timing of when the last time the liter boxes were cleaned. This group rescues animals that are about to be destroyed.. some are sick and some were neglected and/or abused and sometimes close to death from malnutrition. Groups like this try and bring them back to a healthy adoptable state so i am sure there were some animals there that were not 100% healthy but there is a reason for that. Grow up people and if you really care about the well being of these animals stop discarding them, let this center and others like it do the jobs others ignore and foster and/or adopt a homeless dog or cat. This center also depends on volunteers and I am sure that some of them are better than others but a group like this should not be punished because some people are stupid.

Are you sure this is what you would like to do?
