We visited ARK to see about adopting a dog. The smell hit us as soon as we got out of the car. It kept getting worse as we got closer to the front door. Inside was the worst smell ever. I don't know how those poor animals lived in there. The dog we saw was very underweight, but that may not be the rescues fault. I cannot say. I have been in some smelly kennels and shelters, but this was unlike anything I have ever been around. I think these people were trying to do a good thing, but money-wise and staff-wise were just not able to do a proper job. I happy that the animals are now able to breath fresh air.
