I hope and pray that Jason will rule the County with a heavy conservative hand. Businesses will be more likely to come here if they know that they are not going to be heavily taxed. The entire ECHO and Forever programs need to be ended. In my opinion the citizens have not gotten what they voted for. ECHO moneys have mostly been funneled to special interest groups that have wasted them and ECHO contracts are not being fulfilled. In addition, we have enough unused trails and parks, we don't need to build more. People are sick and tired of their politicians being wasteful with THEIR money. The local elections this year should have sent a very clear message to the County Council and the School Board and that message is "WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH, STOP THE WASTEFUL SPENDING AND FOCUS ON THE CORE SERVICES". The whole ideal of the County Council giving OUR money to the various so called NON-PROFITS needs to end, especially the cultural programs. It is hard for me to figure out why our County Council feels that they are better stewards of MY money. What makes them think that they need to be making my charitable giving decisions for me. The list of waste goes on and on. The dirty little elitist political web is certainly being chopped up. The citizens have voted and the School Board is not getting the extra funding that they wished for. The message to the school board should be, EDUCATING OUR CHILDREN SHOULD BE JOB ONE and that includes READING, WRITING, ARITHMETIC, and SCIENCE. Most of us are not for paying for all of the extra curricular non-sense. Most of us do not feel that is our responsibility as a society to help make little Bobby a star football player or little Joey a better flute player. I hope that the local elections have sent a strong message and I hope that the message has been received.

Are you sure this is what you would like to do?
