I understand that the government needs to make their money any way that they can, but how are we supposed to afford all the nessecary things in life if all the prices are going up up up?
I am really waiting for the day when there is way more crime in the country because people will be reduced to stealing when they can't afford the simple things or are faced with making decisions about do I buy milk, or gas, or school supplies for my children.
Come on all you Law Makers...how about you show us that you actually do give a crap about all of us little people that don't make executive salaries like you? or does it really boil down to you are afraid to give us a couple tax breaks a year because you are afraid that it will somehow eat into your nice big salaries or somehow infringe on your nice big benefits package?
I do realize that Sales Tax does provide for a large source of revenue for the state for some badly needed things and programs...but this is the way that I look at it...
Bless the average people with a couple days of tax free shopping once or twice a year...
that will boost sales of other taxable items because most people who shop...end up leaving with a variety of items...all in all boosting the over all revenue for the company...
Even if for that company alone...that will boost profits and will help to either create or keep a job available, that may have otherwise been lost because people can't afford to shop right now...
I know that is broad spectrum...but...its the circle of life...we all live in it, we all have to spend money...now...help us to spend a little more by allowing us a day or 2 a year of tax free shopping.
Thank You
Kim McLain
