It just makes sense. If our city (est 1995) wants to police itself, let it. All things being equal, and they are, the police will do their job, no matter who they answer to. The VCSO is a fine, outstanding organization. It's qualifications are certainly above reproach. The Sheriff himself is a fine Volusia Resident, and great public servant.
