@ Dan- Who do you work for? I've been with EVAC 12 years as a full and part timer and still there. I've been with Sanford for 9 years. I don't really see how that EMT you mentioned made $70,000 with OT in one year even at $13 an hour. That's some shit load of OT then. I find it hard to believe. Hopefully you saw his W2. I made that at Sanford and EVAC together last year with hardly any OT at Sanford. I don't really know how often you have waited for EVAC but when I have worked it's never been that long. If RCC or Deltona gets the call there has been about 2 to 7 min delay in getting it to EVAC. We scan the radios and listen in. This is a fact. We sometimes respond to the call before EVAC gets it. EVAC does have some slow drivers I will admit to that. It drives me crazy how slow they drive. You do know that Halifax gets subsidies from the County also, right.
