How much do you plan for your vacation?

When my family and I go on vacation, I tend to plan what we are going to be doing on a day by day basis. I 'm not so uptight that I plan hourly, unless it's for something like a dinner reservation or show time, but just generally what I want to do on what day.

I can usually let go enough to scrap a day or move things around, but I have found if I don't plan, we don't tend to do things that we really want to do and I get alot of "Now, what are we gonna do?" from the kids.

So do you plan everything on a vacation or do you just wing it?
