At 12:00am (Midnight) on Friday, February 29, 2008 -- "Leap Year Day," an unprecedented (and entirely unexpected) performance art piece, will commence directly in front of Orlando City Hall at City Commons Plaza, 400 S. Orange Ave., Orlando.
For 24 consecutive hours, every 3:56 seconds and a total of 366 times, performance artist Brian Feldman will leap off of a 12-foot-high summit.
Featuring the scenic and lighting design of Curtiss Lee Mitchell and sound design by Jason Kupfer, these elements combined with Brian's improvised leaps will serve to create a dreamlike effect for spectators who are invited to experience firsthand this once-in-a-lifetime endurance spectacle, in a continuous performance the likes of which has never been seen in downtown Orlando.
There is no admission fee, and complimentary "Leap Year Day" programs and buttons will be handed out.
